Our practice

At Everton House Dental we really care about looking after our patients not just their teeth. We have the experience to provide for all your dental needs no matter how complex.

About us

Everton House Dental has been a trusted, general dental practice in Everton Park for over 40 years with a special passion for preventative dental care for all ages. We’re proudly taking care of the children and grandchildren of patients who’ve been with us for decades. Our team has been together for a long time and we've come to view and treat our patients as part of our extended family. Whilst businesses are changing rapidly around us we remain one of the few long-trusted practices in Everton Park, offering contemporary dental treatment by an experienced, caring and gentle dentist and his team.

We care for patients of all ages including the elderly with compromised dentition. We take particular pride in our ability to care for children and the anxious patient, providing a comprehensive range of services from the most basic to the most advanced restorative, surgical and orthodontic treatments to suit your needs. If something needs doing or checking then our team have probably done it or seen it.

Our location

We are located on the corner of South Pine Rd and Sizer street, approximately 50m from the Everton Park BCC library and easily accessible by public transport. We have undercover parking available for our patients, which is accessed from the city bound direction of South Pine Road. There is ample space for wheelchairs and prams, and we are completely accessible by ramp.

Dr Paul Quirk
Dentist, B.Sc (HONS) B.D.Sc

Dr Paul Quirk has been the principal dentist in practice at Everton House dental for over 20 years. He is a dedicated health practitioner committed to providing high quality comprehensive dental care for his patients and their families.

Graduated from the UQ dental School in 1996 following 10 years as a clinical research scientist and took over Everton House Dental in 1999. Over the last 20+ years he has developed an extensive range of skills in dentistry including oral surgical skills and orthodontics.

He derives significant satisfaction in the relationships that develop from caring for patients over a long time and sharing their life journeys. He cares deeply for each and every one of his patients and personally carries out all treatments from the basic to the complex for several generations within each family.

He believes in considering the whole person to provide the most appropriate treatment at all times, as dental health care is so much more than just about teeth. He is particularly adept at making children and very anxious patients comfortable in his care. His gentle approach to people is shaped by life experience as a clinical researcher and happily married husband for over
30 years with 3 adult children.

Paul also loves...

Spending time outdoors bushwalking and travelling, engaging in geopolitics, economics, art, Australian sports, good food and wine. For fun he loves to cycle and get away to Yamba where he keeps trying to improve his “tragic wannabe surfing skills”.

Dr Nicholas Quirk
Dentist, BDS

Dr Nicholas Quirk has developed a variety of interests within his dental practice. Through his work in Special Needs Dentistry units in Adelaide, Rural South Australia and Canberra, Nicholas has come to understand that dentistry can be a challenging experience for many. He takes great care to make each visit as comfortable as possible, particularly for those who experience anxiety prior to and during treatments. He takes the extra step to get to know patients beyond their teeth and gums.

Nicholas has a diversified background that includes time spent as a medical engineer at the prestigious American ‘Mayo Clinic’. This has given him a broader education in all things medically orientated. He is commited to remaining at the cutting edge of dentistry and is a member of multiple professional study groups and also works in conjunction with local specialist practices. Nicholas combines this dedication with his patient centred approach to deliver optimal outcomes for all those in his care.

Nicholas also loves...

Humming along to music of choice (not country), rock climbing, playing way too much football (soccer) or trying to sneak off to the beach whenever time permits. It’s also a good thing he’s a dentist as biscuits seem to disappear extremely quickly when he’s around…

Our services

Preventative dentistry

The most basic of dental services includes routine monitoring, checking and cleaning. Not delegated to a hygienist or therapist but carried out by Dr Quirk personally.

Emergency Treatment

If you are in strong pain, we will see you on the day and not make you wait. Antibiotics and pills are NO substitute to active treatment that often involves RCT or extractions.

Orthodontics

Creating beautiful smiles by realignment of your teeth. In the last 5 years Dr Quirk has undertaken extensive additional training that now allows us to treat children and adults with braces and other orthodontic techniques.

Children’s dentistry

We put a lot of emphasis on making sure that childrens' care is as gentle and as fun as dentistry could ever be. Our testimonials clearly show that.

Extractions

Sometimes teeth cannot or should not be saved and Dr Quirk has the surgical skills and experience to remove both badly decayed and broken down teeth or difficult impacted wisdom teeth.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Everyone can have a beautiful smile. Cosmetic Dentistry starts with routine tooth whitening and can expand to complicated plans involving veneers, braces and implants. We offer treatments to suit all your needs.

Restorative treatments

The basics of general dentistry, includes filling and restoration of broken or decayed teeth with the most appropriate filling material.

Root Canal Treatment

Typically required in response to acute pain when the tooth and nerve is compromised. Saving teeth by RCT is part of our normal daily practice for all teeth even difficult back molars.

Replacing Missing Teeth

Missing teeth can be replaced by dentures, bridges or implants. All of these options are available to our patients no matter how simple or complex your needs. This includes modern implant treatments such as the “All on Four” technique.

Gum Care

Caring for your gums or periodontal tissues is the most essential part of general practice. Without healthy gums your teeth fall out. It really is that simple!

Tooth Whitening

We offer at-home professional whitening kits as well as in-surgery whitening for immediate results. Please talk to our friendly team about your needs.

Crowns

Preparing teeth for porcelain or zirconia crownsmade in local dental laboratories is again part of routinue care for badly broken or root canal treated teeth.

Clear Aligners

Invisa-like clear aligners for simple orthodontic adjustments in both adults and chidlren is an alternate to traditional braces and now routinely offered to our patients. Book a consultation today to assess your suitability for this option.

Sleep Apnoea and snoring

In cooperation with your physician we provide custom made mandibular advancement splints (MAS), which are highly effective for the treatment of snoring and sleep apnoea.

Implants

High quality dental implants to replace missing teeth or support a plate are now routinely carried out by Dr Paul Quirk. Please contact us if you would like to make an enquiry.

We are part of the Bupa Members first program and we are also preferred providers for HCF. We accept all other health funds and can process these on the day using the Hicaps system. Our standard fees are well below average fees in Brisbane.
